Program Description:

NDT Training Program - This instruction Radiology NDT Inspector Training Program A prepares individuals for entry-level NDT Technician /Inspector/Engineer jobs.  Graduates may find suitable employment with oil and gas, petrochemical, offshore structural, shipbuilding, pipeline industries, and aviation companies.  Students will learn to inspect plate, welding, casting, forging, and other material extensively used in pressure, heavy load, high temperature, or corrosive environments.

The main objective of this training is to get in-depth basic theory knowledge and familiarity with the equipment and techniques used to check the integrity of the material being tested. The trained and certified individual will perform NDT per various codes and standards.  Job skills that individuals will learn will make them capable of doing multiple NonDestructive inspections independently.

In this program, individuals will be trained as NDT Level I & II in non-destructive testing methods such as Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and RT Film Interpretation - Level II and 40 Hours of Basic Industrial Radiation Safety, and this program will give 200 hours of credit after completion. 

 Radiology NDT Inspector Training Programs (200 Hours) Included: 

  1. Liquid Penetrant Testing Level I & II (16 Hours) 
  2. Magnetic Particle Testing- Level I & II (24 Hours) 
  3. Ultrasonic Testing - Level I & II ( 80 Hours) 
  4. RT Film Interpretation - Level II  ( 40 Hours)
  5. Industrial Radiation Safety - ( 40 Hours)

Admissions Requirements:

Individuals applying for this course are required to:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age (applicants under 18 require written permission from a parent or legal guardian to enroll); and
  2. Present proof of secondary education (a minimum high school diploma or GED certificate)
  3. No entrance requirement to attend this program.

Training Examination & Certification Requirement:

During this course training, you will give an examination in General theory, Specification, and Practical. You are required to successfully pass these three examinations with a minimum of 70% grading in each. The average grading of all three tests should be 80% minimum as per the requirement of ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2020.
